Let the Bridges Burn

Short, intense and by turns sad and angry. It reads almost like a royal decree to the universe.

Let the Bridges Burn

let the bridges burn.
urn, catch the ashes
as they fall, all the ashes,
cold and strangely white,
like night in negative.
proof of nothing,
but silence.

  1. Intensely vivid and beautiful.

    Reminds me of the ancient practice of burning fields to make rich fertile soil for seed plantings.

    Orange liquid flames burn
    to white

    Ashes

    cooling calming

    New verdant fields beckoning
