A lover's oath of sorts, just one of the Hofstadter-Moebius loop of vows he took in his second marriage. There are times I wish I was as capable of love as he is. There are times I am glad I am not.
resplendent
just be there when the heavens fall.
to see the sky tear open wide.
to melt me with the tears I've cried
ascendant to your favour.
I'll need you there to keep me sane
and guard my dreams with ardent prayer.
I know how well my life will fare
within your tender mercies.
I pray for you the sweetest nights
and days that shine like diamond fire.
I would assist in all desires
essential to your pleasure.
this conquered man but asks your joy
and seeks for you the grandest life.
a mantra made upon the light
resplendent with your waking.

Explaining the Tags
You will note, gentle reader, that all works under this blog now display "tags" to help classify and assign the works for your review and enjoyment.
These largely fall into 4 categories:
Year of writing, e.g. "1999"
Book published in, e.g. "from an unexpected quarter"
Inspiring muse, e.g. "Aubergine"
Genre, e.g. "erotica"
We are still in the process of cleaning up the tags, so please bear with us. Yes, some muses are classified under more than one tag, some poems appear in more than one book, or not yet in any volume, and some years are...hazy.
