A play on words and an earnest contemplation of "the journey of life" and the journeys in life. From the summer of 2004.
Wonderlust
where the waters are shallow the life does not teem,
but gathers in the backwash of a colourless dream.
in the depths of our labours we find our real heart,
beneath spectral fires our spirits impart.
so where shall I wander, when wonderlust calls?
to the edge of the waters or over the falls?
you never need ask me the fate's final goal
when all that I am is immersed in your soul.
where the skies are unclouded we cannot see signs
that give us the clues to the grandest designs
and warn us and warm us of what is yet near,
be it the jester's sweet joy or the holy man's tear.

Explaining the Tags
You will note, gentle reader, that all works under this blog now display "tags" to help classify and assign the works for your review and enjoyment.
These largely fall into 4 categories:
Year of writing, e.g. "1999"
Book published in, e.g. "from an unexpected quarter"
Inspiring muse, e.g. "Aubergine"
Genre, e.g. "erotica"
We are still in the process of cleaning up the tags, so please bear with us. Yes, some muses are classified under more than one tag, some poems appear in more than one book, or not yet in any volume, and some years are...hazy.
