not meant for the fall

0 observations

The poet calls this a "meander", meaning he just thought and flowed and this is what came from it, perhaps not coherent but at least an honest snapshot of his mind and soul and heart in the moment. It is an optimistic and determined stream of thought, nonetheless.

not meant for the fall

we are not
always what we should be
the fruit of a tree
that's enduring

we will fall
when the seasons parade
and the warm summer shade
becomes silent

and our lives
are a second in time
we get lost in our prime
and we wither

but my life
is not meant for the fall
but the moments that call
resurrection

    Explaining the Tags

You will note, gentle reader, that all works under this blog now display "tags" to help classify and assign the works for your review and enjoyment.

These largely fall into 4 categories:

    Year of writing, e.g. "1999"
Book published in, e.g. "from an unexpected quarter"
    Inspiring muse, e.g. "Aubergine"
    Genre, e.g. "erotica"

We are still in the process of cleaning up the tags, so please bear with us. Yes, some muses are classified under more than one tag, some poems appear in more than one book, or not yet in any volume, and some years are...hazy.
