The Texture of Your Tongue

0 observations

Not subtle, but there is an elegance to this erotic poem. It was placed to music and is available as part of his birthday podcast from 2006, along with some other rather wonderful spoken word and semi-song compositions. Worth a listen.

The Texture of Your Tongue

as your kisses head south,
your mouth
becomes a channel.
a pink gate to heaven,
where leavened words
become inarticulate.
but oh so eloquent.

the texture of your tongue
and the heat,
the sweet heat,
you share with me
as you bare me,
dare me to allow you
to seize control of my pleasure.

a measure of surrender.
no pretender here
to your solferino smile,
parted to slip and nip
and trip me into falling
even further into you.
as if I needed the encouragement.

reaching into me.
teaching me
just how much control
you have of my soul,
with a gentle touch
and an excruciatingly soft
press of lips and tongue.

your rhythm'd caresses
as your tresses
become tangled in my fingers
and I linger over...
nothing and no one before
or after this moment,
trapped in the texture of your tongue.

    Explaining the Tags

You will note, gentle reader, that all works under this blog now display "tags" to help classify and assign the works for your review and enjoyment.

These largely fall into 4 categories:

    Year of writing, e.g. "1999"
Book published in, e.g. "from an unexpected quarter"
    Inspiring muse, e.g. "Aubergine"
    Genre, e.g. "erotica"

We are still in the process of cleaning up the tags, so please bear with us. Yes, some muses are classified under more than one tag, some poems appear in more than one book, or not yet in any volume, and some years are...hazy.
