Long time readers need no introduction to the concept of the "faceted sphere", but for those virgins out there...
The poet uses the frame of "the faceted sphere" to write poems of relationships that never were but might have been in an alternate reality, where instead of panthers and Valkyries and wisps we have the Sweet Succubus, the Siren and Cinnamon, and their ilk. Some women received but a single poem, some received many.
the faceted sphere: 27
to touch, for just a fleeting instant, the quintessence
and the antithesis of all I'll ever, never know
but for the laughter of the fate of feeling triumph
in the pain of saline rain bought with riddles and denials.
presence is the mockery. and cruelty is not bought
for a price more precious than sanity,
the vanity of love and lust, again.

Explaining the Tags
You will note, gentle reader, that all works under this blog now display "tags" to help classify and assign the works for your review and enjoyment.
These largely fall into 4 categories:
Year of writing, e.g. "1999"
Book published in, e.g. "from an unexpected quarter"
Inspiring muse, e.g. "Aubergine"
Genre, e.g. "erotica"
We are still in the process of cleaning up the tags, so please bear with us. Yes, some muses are classified under more than one tag, some poems appear in more than one book, or not yet in any volume, and some years are...hazy.
