One of the more bizarre works from the new CD Amomancer: nightblooming has to be this one. It's an edgy work that revolves around the sexuality and sensuality of pain. I don't think the poet has gone around the bend, just confessed that sometimes there is a bloody grey area. The recording, on the CD, with the very exotic music and the slow, measured, almost malevolent reading he gives is very disturbing.
slitoris
I
am the blade
that laid
open your soul
I
am the blade
that played
you to control
the pain
the stain
the reign
of tears you cry
and I
become
your solitaire release
you try
to focus on
to shield
your tattered heart
you draw
your strength
at length
when your skin parts
and you see
the blossom
bleeding
off the ache
that kisses
miss
and pills
won't slake.
I
am the blade
that laid
open your soul
I
am the blade
that played
you to control
the pain
the stain
the reign
of tears you cry

Explaining the Tags
You will note, gentle reader, that all works under this blog now display "tags" to help classify and assign the works for your review and enjoyment.
These largely fall into 4 categories:
Year of writing, e.g. "1999"
Book published in, e.g. "from an unexpected quarter"
Inspiring muse, e.g. "Aubergine"
Genre, e.g. "erotica"
We are still in the process of cleaning up the tags, so please bear with us. Yes, some muses are classified under more than one tag, some poems appear in more than one book, or not yet in any volume, and some years are...hazy.
