sunday morning reverie

0 observations

Something light and affectionate for that someone he has drawn focus to.

sunday morning reverie

steal the covers, if you wish
you already have my soul, held gentle in hands
I did not realize were there for me
to catch me in my fall
to hold me in moments of sorrow
to clutch me in moments of shared expression
of passions and affections
that sustain me as the sunrise
holds forth the promise of life
to the dew-laced petals
of an exotic flower
in a land where no mortal feet have trod
since banishment from the garden
and I kiss you, softly, as you sleep

    Explaining the Tags

You will note, gentle reader, that all works under this blog now display "tags" to help classify and assign the works for your review and enjoyment.

These largely fall into 4 categories:

    Year of writing, e.g. "1999"
Book published in, e.g. "from an unexpected quarter"
    Inspiring muse, e.g. "Aubergine"
    Genre, e.g. "erotica"

We are still in the process of cleaning up the tags, so please bear with us. Yes, some muses are classified under more than one tag, some poems appear in more than one book, or not yet in any volume, and some years are...hazy.
