Love is a Mirror of the Heart

0 observations

Ladies and Gentleman, I give you William F. DeVault, the Romantic Poet, not just of the Internet, but of the World. New work, the light may fade but his spectrum persists and resists the darkness.

Love is a Mirror of the Heart

Your kisses lure me, cure me, of my melancholy trappings,
sapping the strength, at length, of all my doubtful demons.
For there is no room or reason or rhyme for evil in this sphere
when you can draw near and, with a whisper, remind me of God
and the odd irony that you are my evidence of the benevolence
of a Creator who made me as polished silver to your heart.

    Explaining the Tags

You will note, gentle reader, that all works under this blog now display "tags" to help classify and assign the works for your review and enjoyment.

These largely fall into 4 categories:

    Year of writing, e.g. "1999"
Book published in, e.g. "from an unexpected quarter"
    Inspiring muse, e.g. "Aubergine"
    Genre, e.g. "erotica"

We are still in the process of cleaning up the tags, so please bear with us. Yes, some muses are classified under more than one tag, some poems appear in more than one book, or not yet in any volume, and some years are...hazy.
