This "Southern Siren" seems to have gotten under his skin, no?
Yes.
my desires and my dream
I want to evolve into the man you will lay down beside
and share with me your intimacies
your dreams, your faith, your pride.
I want to find the path that bears me to your gentle heart,
where kisses reign and steal the pain
of the darkness, from where I start.
I want to lay inside you and to guide you to release
the furied smoke with every stroke
that brings you the sated peace.
And I would dare, at length to bear, your sorrows as my own,
to hold you in the night and light,
our tangled lives, together, grown.

Explaining the Tags
You will note, gentle reader, that all works under this blog now display "tags" to help classify and assign the works for your review and enjoyment.
These largely fall into 4 categories:
Year of writing, e.g. "1999"
Book published in, e.g. "from an unexpected quarter"
Inspiring muse, e.g. "Aubergine"
Genre, e.g. "erotica"
We are still in the process of cleaning up the tags, so please bear with us. Yes, some muses are classified under more than one tag, some poems appear in more than one book, or not yet in any volume, and some years are...hazy.
