Past the Pillars

0 observations

Something new and fresh and timeless.

Past the Pillars

I would see if my imagination
did well to place
the scent of flowers in your hair,
soft and sweet, like your lips,
confection of a perfection as a process,
much like our lovemaking,
expressing what is right and real and full of feeling incandescent.

I should like to find
the sound of your breath late at night,
you having just passed from this dream
into the one I can only guess at,
but I hear you say my name, gently,
and I am content that the shadow world
feels much the same to your heart and body as this one does,
whisper and wolfram in turns, as your needs dictate.

I will like to hold you.
Not so tight as to frighten you,
but to enlighten you that I am not here for me,
but for you and all you are willing to share,
thrilling me with your confidence and grace.
Face to face for as long as you would have me be.

    Explaining the Tags

You will note, gentle reader, that all works under this blog now display "tags" to help classify and assign the works for your review and enjoyment.

These largely fall into 4 categories:

    Year of writing, e.g. "1999"
Book published in, e.g. "from an unexpected quarter"
    Inspiring muse, e.g. "Aubergine"
    Genre, e.g. "erotica"

We are still in the process of cleaning up the tags, so please bear with us. Yes, some muses are classified under more than one tag, some poems appear in more than one book, or not yet in any volume, and some years are...hazy.
