I know I am in trouble for not posting earlier today. What can I say? I had personal business that kept me away (one nice thing about the poet's new romance (I jokingly refer to it is "Murphy's Romance") is that he is too busy to ride me constantly).
But here is a new piece, about his lady love.
freedom is more than just a word
you have been lied to and made to feel
that there is a real bond beyond words
between what others say and who you are.
do not accept the sad and sincere twistings
the petulant insistings and posturings
by those who claim title and ownership.
you are free to be who you want to be
and should you choose to be with me,
such is my rejoicing, in the dance of the decades.

Explaining the Tags
You will note, gentle reader, that all works under this blog now display "tags" to help classify and assign the works for your review and enjoyment.
These largely fall into 4 categories:
Year of writing, e.g. "1999"
Book published in, e.g. "from an unexpected quarter"
Inspiring muse, e.g. "Aubergine"
Genre, e.g. "erotica"
We are still in the process of cleaning up the tags, so please bear with us. Yes, some muses are classified under more than one tag, some poems appear in more than one book, or not yet in any volume, and some years are...hazy.
