ransom

0 observations

This is the first official lyric the poet has released for a piece by the newly renamed and configured band (formerly known as "The Gods of Love", now "Amomancer").

ransom

take my heart for ransom
I will pay your asked price twice

I want to build a castle wall with us inside, against the fall
of kingdoms, countries, Gods and crown, a flood of oceans can never drown.
you are an angel, sent to my aid, to end my follies, the fool's parade
of shadow lovers, of fractured stone, of deserts vast, where gardens had grown.

I want to kiss you in the light, to show the heavens my true delight
and share my passion for you and life, I am your husband, you are my wife,
and more than labels, and more than names, we are the pictures and the frames,
we are the words and poetry that melt the stones that they run free

take my heart for ransom
I will pay your asked price twice

    Explaining the Tags

You will note, gentle reader, that all works under this blog now display "tags" to help classify and assign the works for your review and enjoyment.

These largely fall into 4 categories:

    Year of writing, e.g. "1999"
Book published in, e.g. "from an unexpected quarter"
    Inspiring muse, e.g. "Aubergine"
    Genre, e.g. "erotica"

We are still in the process of cleaning up the tags, so please bear with us. Yes, some muses are classified under more than one tag, some poems appear in more than one book, or not yet in any volume, and some years are...hazy.
