The poet has a small statement he wishes to communicate.
"Effective immediately, I am abandoning the use of totem-muses in my writings. 'When I was a child, I spoke as a child.' But I am a man, and I have seen the fulfillment of my heart. No veils. No shadows. No masks. That I have in the past, played abstractions to make lesser things seem more grand is not to their disservice, but mine own." - William F. DeVault, January 16, 2008.
And he passes along this poem to his lady, Candy.

I will touch you
by your leave and let.
answering questions you asked
when my heart tasked me to love you
with a fire that passes all understanding
of what I thought I knew
before you touched me
in ways long held
to be impossible.

Explaining the Tags
You will note, gentle reader, that all works under this blog now display "tags" to help classify and assign the works for your review and enjoyment.
These largely fall into 4 categories:
Year of writing, e.g. "1999"
Book published in, e.g. "from an unexpected quarter"
Inspiring muse, e.g. "Aubergine"
Genre, e.g. "erotica"
We are still in the process of cleaning up the tags, so please bear with us. Yes, some muses are classified under more than one tag, some poems appear in more than one book, or not yet in any volume, and some years are...hazy.
