A simple sonnet, heartfelt and pure, from one whose faith is certain, whose hope is sure.
beyond these walls
Where finds my true sorrows cold with lost thought
when laid against memoried bonds of pain?
Upon what shrine shall I share burdened heart
that I may rise, alive, to burn again?
In your gentle arms and verdant eyes
I am the man you choose to love with fire,
I am deeply humbled by this sweet prize,
the perfect charity of your desire.
The great beyond holds not for me a dread,
for I will take that leap with you, one day,
to find a place where no true hearts have bled
and the patient lovers may yet still play.
Beyond the walls of life, still distant found,
we shall for'ere, in this true love, be bound.

Explaining the Tags
You will note, gentle reader, that all works under this blog now display "tags" to help classify and assign the works for your review and enjoyment.
These largely fall into 4 categories:
Year of writing, e.g. "1999"
Book published in, e.g. "from an unexpected quarter"
Inspiring muse, e.g. "Aubergine"
Genre, e.g. "erotica"
We are still in the process of cleaning up the tags, so please bear with us. Yes, some muses are classified under more than one tag, some poems appear in more than one book, or not yet in any volume, and some years are...hazy.

2 observations:
God, you are SO talented. I'm learning so much from you, do you know that?
The mirror reflects true, but I am still like a vase on the table, meaningless until filled with life.
You are the most beautiful flower I have ever held in my heart.
