as promised on City of Legends blog...
spark (dancing feet and eyes)
stone by stone we build the bones we hang out souls upon
every thought in temperate not, hot upon the radiance gone.
the sphere turns, the venom burns and lies are in our eyes, dawn
denied by maddened pride and all the follies learned.
spark.
the sky to the east erupts in colours like a kiss of intent
spent not on tepid timidities where we hide our souls, rent
in games of control over the moments that, in smoke, went
like a dried weed, seeds wasted and bitterness tasted, burned.
spark.
bare all you dare and pass from there to where you want to be.
cross lines you'd drawn for futures gone, and sail a placid sea.
expectations, consecrations, invocations and a promise to be free
to choose the path you want to follow in dancing feet and eyes.
spark.
I will be there if you ask me. I will wait on rare earth,
flat for the cliff runner who has found a challenged balance, rebirth
in the value of an earnest kiss kept hidden by nothing worth
remembering, except the road was long and we were strong against forgotten lies.

And Candy, I love your dancing feet and eyes. Keep dancing.

Explaining the Tags
You will note, gentle reader, that all works under this blog now display "tags" to help classify and assign the works for your review and enjoyment.
These largely fall into 4 categories:
Year of writing, e.g. "1999"
Book published in, e.g. "from an unexpected quarter"
Inspiring muse, e.g. "Aubergine"
Genre, e.g. "erotica"
We are still in the process of cleaning up the tags, so please bear with us. Yes, some muses are classified under more than one tag, some poems appear in more than one book, or not yet in any volume, and some years are...hazy.

2 observations:
This piece is testament to the phenomenon that is you. It is richly autobiographical and powerfully divine.
As to dancing feet and eyes... always, and only, for you.
I love to experience your dancing.
Autobiographical is no longer a solitary state, you know. My biography is now our story.
