Some tripping wordplay for my lover.

this candidate

I deify this candidate, above all mortal flesh,
although I crave the comfort of our heated bodies mesh.
She's elegant and eloquent, enamorata born,
I find her most unique and to her bliss I am now sworn.
An oddity, this odyssey, has brought me to her door
from ways about and roundabout, across a crooked floor,
to find her open to my thrust, my purpose and my heart.
A miracle I find to bind two halves of hope, apart.

God, you're good. The tone bears a faint resemblance to Edward Lear... who, as you know, is one of my favourites. You, however, are my favourite. Hearing you read this was amazing, thank you, and 'wow'.

No, thank you. For the inspiration. I am a shadow of the light you shine, I am a sculpture of the craft of your heart. I am what is made of what you wish, my skill and art no greater than the heat of fires you forged me in.

    Explaining the Tags

You will note, gentle reader, that all works under this blog now display "tags" to help classify and assign the works for your review and enjoyment.

These largely fall into 4 categories:

    Year of writing, e.g. "1999"
Book published in, e.g. "from an unexpected quarter"
    Inspiring muse, e.g. "Aubergine"
    Genre, e.g. "erotica"

We are still in the process of cleaning up the tags, so please bear with us. Yes, some muses are classified under more than one tag, some poems appear in more than one book, or not yet in any volume, and some years are...hazy.
