a measure of water

2 observations

from a conversation Candy and I had yesterday.

a measure of water

you are the measure of water
that pours out on the sand to awaken the seed
that swells and grows and splits its shell
to rise to catch the sun and wind and blossom
mighty colours and fragrance
to remind the world that there is life
in the most forgotten of places
that there is beauty
waiting for you to awaken it
that there is always hope
because you are alive.

This is very beautiful MFH.

With you I am free.

We have both paid a price to get here, and I would gladly have paid greater by many magnitudes to have made your path easier.

But I am grateful you made it.

    Explaining the Tags

You will note, gentle reader, that all works under this blog now display "tags" to help classify and assign the works for your review and enjoyment.

These largely fall into 4 categories:

    Year of writing, e.g. "1999"
Book published in, e.g. "from an unexpected quarter"
    Inspiring muse, e.g. "Aubergine"
    Genre, e.g. "erotica"

We are still in the process of cleaning up the tags, so please bear with us. Yes, some muses are classified under more than one tag, some poems appear in more than one book, or not yet in any volume, and some years are...hazy.
