rest in me

2 observations

I have already told Candy that this will go in the next volume of poetry I publish...tentatively entitled "As such, too".

rest in me

rest in me
invest in me your heart
and I will pay you back in kind and all the colours of my light
from the crimson and the cool aubergine
and everything, everything in between
I will spare you no heat or illumination
as I explore the shores of your vast spirit
so beautiful and perfect in every illumination.
kiss me with your solferino smile and I
I will be yours until there are no words
just the memories of those who stand in awe
that we found each other in this dark sphere.

    Explaining the Tags

You will note, gentle reader, that all works under this blog now display "tags" to help classify and assign the works for your review and enjoyment.

These largely fall into 4 categories:

    Year of writing, e.g. "1999"
Book published in, e.g. "from an unexpected quarter"
    Inspiring muse, e.g. "Aubergine"
    Genre, e.g. "erotica"

We are still in the process of cleaning up the tags, so please bear with us. Yes, some muses are classified under more than one tag, some poems appear in more than one book, or not yet in any volume, and some years are...hazy.
