so perfect

0 observations

Something so new, and yet so perfect, like love.

so perfect

you are so perfect for me that I have found God
in the way you hold your breath when I speak your name.
in the coolness of your kisses as they draw fire
and desire up from deep inside of me, where I'd thought the flame
had long since burned down to slow and comfortable coals
that would sustain me, barely, until my time was gone.
but now I am hungry for those kisses and your voice
and your touch that burns and tingles like first light
after a long and dreary night of praying for morning
only to be rewarded with a rising sun of promise more bountiful
and beautiful than all I had imagined in the darkness.
you are so perfect for me that I have found God.
at last.

    Explaining the Tags

You will note, gentle reader, that all works under this blog now display "tags" to help classify and assign the works for your review and enjoyment.

These largely fall into 4 categories:

    Year of writing, e.g. "1999"
Book published in, e.g. "from an unexpected quarter"
    Inspiring muse, e.g. "Aubergine"
    Genre, e.g. "erotica"

We are still in the process of cleaning up the tags, so please bear with us. Yes, some muses are classified under more than one tag, some poems appear in more than one book, or not yet in any volume, and some years are...hazy.
