As promised, the curtain closes for a time, on this 500th post.
the presence
It is not surrender to the pain to cry out from it,
to acknowledge it, to defy it, and it alone.
I atone for many sins. Lesser and greater.
Mine and others, it seems. I take the lash and crash
into myself. Splintered. But with a resolved heart
that I have a purpose in rising to bow
and grip again the handles.
Not in a show of defiance, but of love.
I choose to kneel to heal what I can
for I have a pattern and a promise to keep.

Explaining the Tags
You will note, gentle reader, that all works under this blog now display "tags" to help classify and assign the works for your review and enjoyment.
These largely fall into 4 categories:
Year of writing, e.g. "1999"
Book published in, e.g. "from an unexpected quarter"
Inspiring muse, e.g. "Aubergine"
Genre, e.g. "erotica"
We are still in the process of cleaning up the tags, so please bear with us. Yes, some muses are classified under more than one tag, some poems appear in more than one book, or not yet in any volume, and some years are...hazy.
