Okay, we can speak truly here. Tonight's reading in Los Angeles is a private read for a small group of old friends and peers. He will be reading the entirety of "As such..." as well as selected newer works, including "aeternum", "I love you more than gods can comprehend" and this new work, in an outdoor setting, I believe on the beach.
everything
I have held everything at least once in my life
and lost it all, it seems, in a turn of the dice.
But I have held everything.
So do not pity me my scars and pain
for I have had twice as much as any man
could even dream of.
And I live to speak the gospel of love
and to sanctify the love of a woman
and to live my life as her champion.
For this ronin has held everything.
And in his heart, he still does.

Explaining the Tags
You will note, gentle reader, that all works under this blog now display "tags" to help classify and assign the works for your review and enjoyment.
These largely fall into 4 categories:
Year of writing, e.g. "1999"
Book published in, e.g. "from an unexpected quarter"
Inspiring muse, e.g. "Aubergine"
Genre, e.g. "erotica"
We are still in the process of cleaning up the tags, so please bear with us. Yes, some muses are classified under more than one tag, some poems appear in more than one book, or not yet in any volume, and some years are...hazy.
