tenderly

0 observations

as my dear friend Larry Jaffe used to say: Poet in the house.

tenderly

I think of you tenderly and dream of you
constantly and passionately and sometimes we
are even wearing clothes in those dreams.
you are inside me at a depth I never knew
I never flew to in my strangest thoughts
but now I am caught up in your life.
No one can charm me and nothing can harm me
while I am here, thinking of you now.
Do not doubt but that I will dream of you tonight.
and tenderly, wish I was there to hold you
as you sleep, shielding the jealous stars
and feeling your every breath as proof of God.

Well, you fell in love with a romantic poet, what did you expect?

    Explaining the Tags

You will note, gentle reader, that all works under this blog now display "tags" to help classify and assign the works for your review and enjoyment.

These largely fall into 4 categories:

    Year of writing, e.g. "1999"
Book published in, e.g. "from an unexpected quarter"
    Inspiring muse, e.g. "Aubergine"
    Genre, e.g. "erotica"

We are still in the process of cleaning up the tags, so please bear with us. Yes, some muses are classified under more than one tag, some poems appear in more than one book, or not yet in any volume, and some years are...hazy.
