Despite the fact that she was one of only two artists to decline an invite to take part in the re-envisioning of williamfdevault.com, I couldn't resist writing to the Fields of Arbol this poem for Taylor Saville, once I saw her
Impetuous Dance
spontaneity is the conduit of all joy.
for how can we plan for happiness
when the world will have its way and say
and what we set aside in our hearts
(for a rainy day)
will be spilled by the time we get to it?
better to live and love in the moment
and dance an impetuous dance
that speaks the truth, in arms and legs
and torso turned just so to express
the moment of when life begs
the question of joy.

Explaining the Tags
You will note, gentle reader, that all works under this blog now display "tags" to help classify and assign the works for your review and enjoyment.
These largely fall into 4 categories:
Year of writing, e.g. "1999"
Book published in, e.g. "from an unexpected quarter"
Inspiring muse, e.g. "Aubergine"
Genre, e.g. "erotica"
We are still in the process of cleaning up the tags, so please bear with us. Yes, some muses are classified under more than one tag, some poems appear in more than one book, or not yet in any volume, and some years are...hazy.
