Inspired by a graphic by Adro N. Von Crow, which I will try to secure permission to reproduce here.
lacewing
rest you, my child of the wind and skies.
the storm is past, for now, but other trials
wait you, fate your spirit. your body cries
for an hour, a moment, of rest and the miles
still ahead will be a challenge to your couer rage.
but for the moment, the grass is green and soft
and you have earned the kiss of a soft wind.
lay and rest your lacewings that have, aloft,
carried you o'er hearts broken and knees skinned.
find now your peace before again you take the stage.

Explaining the Tags
You will note, gentle reader, that all works under this blog now display "tags" to help classify and assign the works for your review and enjoyment.
These largely fall into 4 categories:
Year of writing, e.g. "1999"
Book published in, e.g. "from an unexpected quarter"
Inspiring muse, e.g. "Aubergine"
Genre, e.g. "erotica"
We are still in the process of cleaning up the tags, so please bear with us. Yes, some muses are classified under more than one tag, some poems appear in more than one book, or not yet in any volume, and some years are...hazy.
