and what is an angel, if not direct proof of the existence of God? An unique entry into the Fields of Arbol, as the work that inspired it (indirectly) was taken down, and rightly so, by the photographer, Mariya Andriychuk...
to an angel
I shall pour out my essence on the dark water
that you may draw it into the wounds
cut by the unworthy hands that dare touch
what they could not deserve.
if I must wither and die that you may fly,
then I shall smile and go out happy.
there is a time to all purposes and things,
but to give wings to an angel would be beautiful.
and I would rather die a beautiful death
than draw breath in a world where angels
fear to fly and draw awe from the faithful
who always wanted to see an angel, as I have.

Explaining the Tags
You will note, gentle reader, that all works under this blog now display "tags" to help classify and assign the works for your review and enjoyment.
These largely fall into 4 categories:
Year of writing, e.g. "1999"
Book published in, e.g. "from an unexpected quarter"
Inspiring muse, e.g. "Aubergine"
Genre, e.g. "erotica"
We are still in the process of cleaning up the tags, so please bear with us. Yes, some muses are classified under more than one tag, some poems appear in more than one book, or not yet in any volume, and some years are...hazy.
