A remarkable bit of art by fantasy artist David Bollt inspired this entry into the Fields of Arbol.
Devil Angel
bless me with your dark caresses
as your tresses touch more than my flesh;
weaving deep, as I sleep, within my soul
and shell, invoking Hell with pleasures
I can only imagine for now, manifested
in the prayers you have infested with doubt
that there is anything more to heaven
than your touch and the surrender I give
to your warm form. your wings and legs
spread to my bed, my head wed to lust,
dust no longer something to fear.
to be near you, that is resurrection.
I would merge with you, the urge to
lose myself inside you, pride in my fall,
but no shame, and only myself to blame
for wandering too close to you, in desire.
consume me as I bloom to your fire.

Explaining the Tags
You will note, gentle reader, that all works under this blog now display "tags" to help classify and assign the works for your review and enjoyment.
These largely fall into 4 categories:
Year of writing, e.g. "1999"
Book published in, e.g. "from an unexpected quarter"
Inspiring muse, e.g. "Aubergine"
Genre, e.g. "erotica"
We are still in the process of cleaning up the tags, so please bear with us. Yes, some muses are classified under more than one tag, some poems appear in more than one book, or not yet in any volume, and some years are...hazy.
