not looking for a miracle

0 observations

This poem was something written just recently, when someone asked me what I am looking for in life...

not looking for a miracle

I am not asking for a miracle.
Just an everyday,
everyday,
run of the mill love story.
With moments that get rough
and some tough issues,
tough issues,
that need to be worked out.
Because love isn't easy.
It doesn't fall from the sky,
from the sky,
and give you the happily ever after.
But it gives you a good reason
to forgive and to live,
and to live,
with the unexpected bumps and thumps.
I am not asking for a miracle.
Just someone who can smile,
who can smile,
and still tell me off when I get lost and crossed.

    Explaining the Tags

You will note, gentle reader, that all works under this blog now display "tags" to help classify and assign the works for your review and enjoyment.

These largely fall into 4 categories:

    Year of writing, e.g. "1999"
Book published in, e.g. "from an unexpected quarter"
    Inspiring muse, e.g. "Aubergine"
    Genre, e.g. "erotica"

We are still in the process of cleaning up the tags, so please bear with us. Yes, some muses are classified under more than one tag, some poems appear in more than one book, or not yet in any volume, and some years are...hazy.
