Pink Jade: Blood: breathe out

4 observations

breathe out.
but, before you do,
fill your lungs with wishes
that I might catch them in quick hands
and hold them long enough
that they may grow their
butterfly wings
of pink and blue and
that colour that can only be jade.

then, I will release them
into the wild of the sky
and watch them
as the gods of the night
turn them into dreams.
and, if I am blessed,
I can turn them into truth.

breathe out.
that I may know your heart.
better.

i can see the wishes as they float through the sky.

i can see you lean towards me to catch them.

and i can hope that they turn into my dreams...

beautiful and vivid.

a consummation devoutly to be wished.

cherished,
chaste one day,

abandoned,
abdicated the next.

    Explaining the Tags

You will note, gentle reader, that all works under this blog now display "tags" to help classify and assign the works for your review and enjoyment.

These largely fall into 4 categories:

    Year of writing, e.g. "1999"
Book published in, e.g. "from an unexpected quarter"
    Inspiring muse, e.g. "Aubergine"
    Genre, e.g. "erotica"

We are still in the process of cleaning up the tags, so please bear with us. Yes, some muses are classified under more than one tag, some poems appear in more than one book, or not yet in any volume, and some years are...hazy.
