wishbone (giving Thanks)

0 observations

I decided to have a little fun with tomorrow's Thanksgiving Holiday here in the US (you in my overseas readership, about half of my visitors, you should at least have heard of it...) and get a little over the top with the innuendo. Which reminds me of the old Groucho Marx line "Love goes out the door when money comes innuendo...".
=====================================================
Wanna baste you
wanna taste you
and get gravy dribbling through.
Wanna serve you up my stuffing,
pull my wishbone out for you.

Wanna share my
mashed potatoes
with your pretty pumpkin pies.
Wanna serve you up my stuffing,
lay my wishbone 'tween your thighs.

Wanna stir you
with my ladle.
Savour sweet your candied yams.
Wanna show you a Thanksgiving
that the pilgrims never planned.

    Explaining the Tags

You will note, gentle reader, that all works under this blog now display "tags" to help classify and assign the works for your review and enjoyment.

These largely fall into 4 categories:

    Year of writing, e.g. "1999"
Book published in, e.g. "from an unexpected quarter"
    Inspiring muse, e.g. "Aubergine"
    Genre, e.g. "erotica"

We are still in the process of cleaning up the tags, so please bear with us. Yes, some muses are classified under more than one tag, some poems appear in more than one book, or not yet in any volume, and some years are...hazy.
