Inspired by a photo manipulation by my dear friend Liza Lorraine (and yes, those are her legs in it), I could not fail to share this with my readers. An extraordinarily gifted artist and student, this Brazilian demigoddess indulged her love for the Italian in creating this work and in doing so inspired the latest addition to my Fields of Arbol collection (which she is already a multiple muse to). Thank you, lovely Liza.
Floreale
I should like to feel the smooth heat
of your legs in the dark.
strong and soft and a delight to senses
that are brought out at night.
flesh on flesh they mesh well
with the darkness, drawing me in.
the skin against my hands,
my back, my face, no trace
of fear or shame or blame
for why we are both here.
and you draw me near
with your legs in the dark.

Explaining the Tags
You will note, gentle reader, that all works under this blog now display "tags" to help classify and assign the works for your review and enjoyment.
These largely fall into 4 categories:
Year of writing, e.g. "1999"
Book published in, e.g. "from an unexpected quarter"
Inspiring muse, e.g. "Aubergine"
Genre, e.g. "erotica"
We are still in the process of cleaning up the tags, so please bear with us. Yes, some muses are classified under more than one tag, some poems appear in more than one book, or not yet in any volume, and some years are...hazy.
