the will of my heart

0 observations

I promised I would stay with you
I promised I would lay with you
and share the very end of day with you
for that is the will of my heart.

Time and tempests can scatter ash.
And fear and folly may make hearts crash
but hope endures the pitiless lash
as I seek the will of my heart.

I waited by the gate for you
I did not deny my fate for you
and though some say I stayed late for you
you were always the will of my heart.

I am working this through in public. A piece came to me. No, that's incorrect. A production came to me, multi-layered voices doing multiple works atop one another, with a musical background. I have begun work on it. But here is the first draft of one layer. It's rough and you cannot hear the sound and voice within me, but it is taking shape.

    Explaining the Tags

You will note, gentle reader, that all works under this blog now display "tags" to help classify and assign the works for your review and enjoyment.

These largely fall into 4 categories:

    Year of writing, e.g. "1999"
Book published in, e.g. "from an unexpected quarter"
    Inspiring muse, e.g. "Aubergine"
    Genre, e.g. "erotica"

We are still in the process of cleaning up the tags, so please bear with us. Yes, some muses are classified under more than one tag, some poems appear in more than one book, or not yet in any volume, and some years are...hazy.
