hungry for a deeper taste

0 observations

fabric shells discarded and parted, veils thrown out.
surrender doubt as you surrender your warm form.
form.
form
to the touch and caress and sweep of lips and fingertips,
drawing out your heat in sweet sips of nectared prayers.
prayers.
prayers
for a consummation in deep merging, urging release.
the peace of the chaos of the moments when all is not.
not.
not
nearly enough. when there is a tender roughness
in our drowning mouths finding air and blood.
blood.
blood
in a flood that swallows us both to the instant of,
the instinct for, the distinct penetration of more.
more.
more
than just your body, limbs mingling, flesh tingling
and the sudden thunder when you feel me and know.
know .
know
that you are hungry for a deeper taste, this feast of sinew
and soul and the lost control of a paramour's dance.

    Explaining the Tags

You will note, gentle reader, that all works under this blog now display "tags" to help classify and assign the works for your review and enjoyment.

These largely fall into 4 categories:

    Year of writing, e.g. "1999"
Book published in, e.g. "from an unexpected quarter"
    Inspiring muse, e.g. "Aubergine"
    Genre, e.g. "erotica"

We are still in the process of cleaning up the tags, so please bear with us. Yes, some muses are classified under more than one tag, some poems appear in more than one book, or not yet in any volume, and some years are...hazy.
