your red shoes

0 observations

slip into your red shoes.
you know the ones.
the ones that go with everything
but holding back
even a fraction
as they get traction on my heart
and I hear them even in the dark
even after your feet are no longer in them
even as I am lost within you
dreaming of the first time you
slipped into those red shoes.
when you walked all over me
metaphorically as I found myself
only admiring them as an excuse
to study further your elegant legs
and imagine what they would look like
from angles that red shoes might be
a bit out of place in
(but I am game if you are).

    Explaining the Tags

You will note, gentle reader, that all works under this blog now display "tags" to help classify and assign the works for your review and enjoyment.

These largely fall into 4 categories:

    Year of writing, e.g. "1999"
Book published in, e.g. "from an unexpected quarter"
    Inspiring muse, e.g. "Aubergine"
    Genre, e.g. "erotica"

We are still in the process of cleaning up the tags, so please bear with us. Yes, some muses are classified under more than one tag, some poems appear in more than one book, or not yet in any volume, and some years are...hazy.
