in the hall of mirrors: nineteen

0 observations

colours you are. so are we all.
shapeshifts in shadows, predating the fall.
before words became barter for thoughts in our head,
colours were regent and, proclaiming, they said
what was needed to cross the feral, dead space
between heart and heart. between face and face.

levels of lambence. angles of light
mean nothing to the silver that heralds the night
as a filigree worn with nothing besides
when lovers embrace and prayers coincide.

in the hall of mirrors I am yet lost,
praying the threnodies, paying the cost
of my own insurrections against purpose and faith.
a shadow. an angel. an mongrel. a wraith.

    Explaining the Tags

You will note, gentle reader, that all works under this blog now display "tags" to help classify and assign the works for your review and enjoyment.

These largely fall into 4 categories:

    Year of writing, e.g. "1999"
Book published in, e.g. "from an unexpected quarter"
    Inspiring muse, e.g. "Aubergine"
    Genre, e.g. "erotica"

We are still in the process of cleaning up the tags, so please bear with us. Yes, some muses are classified under more than one tag, some poems appear in more than one book, or not yet in any volume, and some years are...hazy.
