in the hall of mirrors: thirteen

1 observations

sacred, shared air. purified by your touch
and kiss and the way your ankles lock around me
as the sealing of a covenant I will not break.
I will not forsake the truth of this moment
even when you have shelved the forevers born,
then torn away and borne away because the words
are read backwards in the hall of mirrors
and we are not as clever as we ever thought ourselves.
faith and fate that waits only for the next sucker
to play blood money on a fool's gamble that pays
in memories and a worthy prayer for the romantique.

sacred, shared air, purified by your touch'- the very first line sets one in a trance, of love in the air!

    Explaining the Tags

You will note, gentle reader, that all works under this blog now display "tags" to help classify and assign the works for your review and enjoyment.

These largely fall into 4 categories:

    Year of writing, e.g. "1999"
Book published in, e.g. "from an unexpected quarter"
    Inspiring muse, e.g. "Aubergine"
    Genre, e.g. "erotica"

We are still in the process of cleaning up the tags, so please bear with us. Yes, some muses are classified under more than one tag, some poems appear in more than one book, or not yet in any volume, and some years are...hazy.
