look for me in the mists of morning,
stepping from the grounded clouds.
no mystery, just the alchemy of hearts.
no promise of souls. no book title labels
to be proven pig irony. love is hard work
when you wake up the next morning.
strong back, stout heart and a bent but unbroken will,
standing for passion and determination
greater than you'll ever see on a battlefield.
I will come from the East, the rising sun
emblematic of my desire to start something new
after the night that went on too long, too long.
if you leave your door open and smile as I pass
I will stop and we will talk, and see if
there is the possibility of something more,
something more than a stack of paper and some anecdotes.

love is hard work

Explaining the Tags
You will note, gentle reader, that all works under this blog now display "tags" to help classify and assign the works for your review and enjoyment.
These largely fall into 4 categories:
Year of writing, e.g. "1999"
Book published in, e.g. "from an unexpected quarter"
Inspiring muse, e.g. "Aubergine"
Genre, e.g. "erotica"
We are still in the process of cleaning up the tags, so please bear with us. Yes, some muses are classified under more than one tag, some poems appear in more than one book, or not yet in any volume, and some years are...hazy.
