Here is a classic of intellectualized erotica, written to his second wife, the Leopard. A shame they didn't work out, he gave up so much for her and worked so hard to fulfill her needs and dreams. I have seen the pictures. She was lovely.
The Ancient Brain
your sheen of sweat
whets my appetites
for the nights of incoherent light
merging into new colours.
hold tight to all my angles
and I will intersect
memories you did not know you were capable of.
but dimly saw in a fantasy rendered
in colors of solferino and pale blue.
sound for me that song again,
the one with only rhythm and words
that work only in the context
of satin and silk and scents that went
straight to the ancient brain.

Explaining the Tags
You will note, gentle reader, that all works under this blog now display "tags" to help classify and assign the works for your review and enjoyment.
These largely fall into 4 categories:
Year of writing, e.g. "1999"
Book published in, e.g. "from an unexpected quarter"
Inspiring muse, e.g. "Aubergine"
Genre, e.g. "erotica"
We are still in the process of cleaning up the tags, so please bear with us. Yes, some muses are classified under more than one tag, some poems appear in more than one book, or not yet in any volume, and some years are...hazy.

1 observations:
"hold tight to all my angles

Vivid visual imagery!
Geometric and linear
Cerebral and celestial
I like it.
