response to glass

0 observations

Last night's podcast featured his works "glass" and "response to glass". In honor of this (and to get some of the web traffic that searches for those poems will generate) I figured I'd at least post the latter.

response to 'glass'

riddles have wept more than their fair share of the currency of confusion.
a profusion of criticisms, woven by those too shallow, too simple,
too obscure to understand the pure light spectrums split into rosary golds.
flechettes of sunlight dancing like drunken partyers on the walls of fate.
hate, a wooden nickel rate of exchange for the meal eaten too slowly
to be ignored when the last bite is finally choked down like a lover's laugh.
too late for anything but the regrets we said we'd never have. but we control
less than the destiny of the universe, less than our own fates.
and our only response to glass is to look for our own reflections, far too often.

    Explaining the Tags

You will note, gentle reader, that all works under this blog now display "tags" to help classify and assign the works for your review and enjoyment.

These largely fall into 4 categories:

    Year of writing, e.g. "1999"
Book published in, e.g. "from an unexpected quarter"
    Inspiring muse, e.g. "Aubergine"
    Genre, e.g. "erotica"

We are still in the process of cleaning up the tags, so please bear with us. Yes, some muses are classified under more than one tag, some poems appear in more than one book, or not yet in any volume, and some years are...hazy.
