Evolving Indifference

0 observations

There is, deep inside every romantic, the angry cuckold waiting to emerge. He says he feels better now, that working through his feelings via the creative catharsis of poetic therapy helped...a lot.

Evolving Indifference

I had a bad case of you
that's for sure
there was no cure
so I had to ride it out
until the final card turned
and I got burned
beyond all recognition
but my premonition
played true
and you
took the money and ran
leaving me to understand
there's a world of difference
between the pathways of love,
and the persistence
of a memory
you don't want me to let go
because there's more to be had,
drained from veins already black
with the disease of caring.

    Explaining the Tags

You will note, gentle reader, that all works under this blog now display "tags" to help classify and assign the works for your review and enjoyment.

These largely fall into 4 categories:

    Year of writing, e.g. "1999"
Book published in, e.g. "from an unexpected quarter"
    Inspiring muse, e.g. "Aubergine"
    Genre, e.g. "erotica"

We are still in the process of cleaning up the tags, so please bear with us. Yes, some muses are classified under more than one tag, some poems appear in more than one book, or not yet in any volume, and some years are...hazy.
