moment

2 observations

If I wasn't so happy for him, I'd be sickened by this seemingly endless gushing of love and affection.

moment

I blink. and in that moment of disconnect from the world
I see you. bold and precious. eyes like mirrors of my dreams.
your hair cascading over shoulders, bare and soft to my touch
but able to bear the weight of the world when called upon.

I blink. and in that moment I hear your voice, sweet and bright.
the way you say the slyest things to catch me with a kiss
when I am looking the other way and you'd rather play
than sit quietly, reminding me how to be a man in love.

I blink. and in that moment i am caught in the power of a peace
I surrendered to as easily as laying down after a long day;
not to die, but to rest to live again tomorrow, in hope and joy
and regretting not the love we share for more than a moment.

Oh, it's not soooooo mushy, E.J. And I am in agreement with you regarding the happiness of the poet and his poetess!

This is a beautiful expression of a living and breathing love.

I agree. I'd hate him if he wasn't so deserving of this. And from all I know (which admittedly is mostly filtered through him) she is a nock above and beyond any woman who has before penetrated his defenses.

He is giddy, and it is strange seeing this fiery stone golem turn to flesh and blood.

    Explaining the Tags

You will note, gentle reader, that all works under this blog now display "tags" to help classify and assign the works for your review and enjoyment.

These largely fall into 4 categories:

    Year of writing, e.g. "1999"
Book published in, e.g. "from an unexpected quarter"
    Inspiring muse, e.g. "Aubergine"
    Genre, e.g. "erotica"

We are still in the process of cleaning up the tags, so please bear with us. Yes, some muses are classified under more than one tag, some poems appear in more than one book, or not yet in any volume, and some years are...hazy.
