I was rather startled by this new offering to his lady love, it is...unusual for him, but well expressed and wrought. He's...he's...humbled. Isn't that like one of the signs of the Apocalypse?
the tears of god
the lambent eyes of god, in heaven set,
draw closed the curtains of the night, wet
with their gentle tears of joy for you and I.
and gratitude is all I can express to dreams
that walk on mortal feet to lay down beside me.
fields sown with pain are harvested for joy,
soft, ripe spheres of delight that taste
of jasmine and peaches and are as fragrant,
as fragrant as your thoughts on a pillow,
wet with the tears of a merciful god.

Explaining the Tags
You will note, gentle reader, that all works under this blog now display "tags" to help classify and assign the works for your review and enjoyment.
These largely fall into 4 categories:
Year of writing, e.g. "1999"
Book published in, e.g. "from an unexpected quarter"
Inspiring muse, e.g. "Aubergine"
Genre, e.g. "erotica"
We are still in the process of cleaning up the tags, so please bear with us. Yes, some muses are classified under more than one tag, some poems appear in more than one book, or not yet in any volume, and some years are...hazy.

2 observations:
One of my favourite phrases is 'God is in the rain'. Strange then, that I associate rain with sadness... perhaps I have been misinterpreting the rain. Now it seems more like happy tears falling out of a laughing heaven.
Thank you. Yes, to me, rain is life. A nurturing force.
