move your heart

0 observations

This is a piece of a lyric I'm working on for the new CD. I just thought I'd share it today.

move your heart

I wish I could move your heart
from eight thousand miles away
I wish I could move your heart
so that we could share the day

I am not much for making wishes
as they sometimes don't come true
but I wish I could move your heart
so that I could stay with you.

I have given my surrender
so that you might know that I
just want to move your heart
so I won't ever make you cry.

I make a wish to move your heart
and tightly close my eyes
I pray for all things lost and crossed
and spread my wings to rise.

For if I cannot move your heart
than I must find a way
to tear down mounts and walls and such
and make of life what I may.

    Explaining the Tags

You will note, gentle reader, that all works under this blog now display "tags" to help classify and assign the works for your review and enjoyment.

These largely fall into 4 categories:

    Year of writing, e.g. "1999"
Book published in, e.g. "from an unexpected quarter"
    Inspiring muse, e.g. "Aubergine"
    Genre, e.g. "erotica"

We are still in the process of cleaning up the tags, so please bear with us. Yes, some muses are classified under more than one tag, some poems appear in more than one book, or not yet in any volume, and some years are...hazy.
