malediction VII

and the final piece, the capstone, if you will.

malediction VII

I bear no malice to Alice, for the hole was there to be found,
ground moved to prove an irresistible lure to those sure
to find a curiosity in the darkness, only too late aware
that there are creatures darker than me in the corners,
crying out their curses in loud lies and feigned surprise.
I cannot do what bends will, what would kill my soul
and make of you less than what you deserve to be, free
of the fading and jading poisons others would feed on
and bleed on their own patches of disturbed earth.

    Explaining the Tags

You will note, gentle reader, that all works under this blog now display "tags" to help classify and assign the works for your review and enjoyment.

These largely fall into 4 categories:

    Year of writing, e.g. "1999"
Book published in, e.g. "from an unexpected quarter"
    Inspiring muse, e.g. "Aubergine"
    Genre, e.g. "erotica"

We are still in the process of cleaning up the tags, so please bear with us. Yes, some muses are classified under more than one tag, some poems appear in more than one book, or not yet in any volume, and some years are...hazy.
