Yoga in a Poodle Skirt

1 observations

The story behind this poem? You wouldn't believe me if I told you. So I won't.

Yoga in a Poodle Skirt

patience she had
and an otherworldy serenity
and balance and every curve and line
of her frame obeyed her will
as she bent to take the warm
to searing heat,
an oddly erotic, exotic figure
in her poodle skirt, as it mocked modesty,
draping to hide a glide of skin and air.
bare to my imagination
as she could tell by my eyes
and the sound of my breath.

William F. DeVault.

I love your last three lines. The passion is almost tangible...

    Explaining the Tags

You will note, gentle reader, that all works under this blog now display "tags" to help classify and assign the works for your review and enjoyment.

These largely fall into 4 categories:

    Year of writing, e.g. "1999"
Book published in, e.g. "from an unexpected quarter"
    Inspiring muse, e.g. "Aubergine"
    Genre, e.g. "erotica"

We are still in the process of cleaning up the tags, so please bear with us. Yes, some muses are classified under more than one tag, some poems appear in more than one book, or not yet in any volume, and some years are...hazy.
