to a beautiful friend

0 observations

Try to keep up people, Krakoa is awake.

to a beautiful friend

laugh. laugh if you must, for dust comes too soon
and we need to feel the joy of life and the life of joy
as we employ our every sense to make sense of time
as it flows and goes and shows us things around corners
we did not even know existed before we turned the last
and found ourselves cast in different roles, breath stolen
by a smile, or the set of a beautiful woman's shoulders
as she wrestled with fate or something less epic. a duty
to record the truth in the instant where I am suspended
between ticks of an impatient second hand. but taking time
to appreciate something so perfect it passes for God.
like when you bite your lower lip and laugh to yourself.

    Explaining the Tags

You will note, gentle reader, that all works under this blog now display "tags" to help classify and assign the works for your review and enjoyment.

These largely fall into 4 categories:

    Year of writing, e.g. "1999"
Book published in, e.g. "from an unexpected quarter"
    Inspiring muse, e.g. "Aubergine"
    Genre, e.g. "erotica"

We are still in the process of cleaning up the tags, so please bear with us. Yes, some muses are classified under more than one tag, some poems appear in more than one book, or not yet in any volume, and some years are...hazy.
