Something new.
the artist
The artist lays herself to the silver canvas.
fearless.
Dear and blessed with grace and beauty, which pass
through light and lens to speak to us,
in words that are not sufficient,
defining beauty and a sense of humour
that bears the flecks of pain and inspiration.
Eyes speaking volumes of laughter and tears
and years pressed into an f-stop moment.
fearless.
Stretching far her perfect form to warm
our cold corners of today that jaded over
yesterday and would make a bleak tomorrow
if not illuminated by the artist's touch.
And we surrender out thoughts and hearts
to her, for the moment, to receive her blessing.

Explaining the Tags
You will note, gentle reader, that all works under this blog now display "tags" to help classify and assign the works for your review and enjoyment.
These largely fall into 4 categories:
Year of writing, e.g. "1999"
Book published in, e.g. "from an unexpected quarter"
Inspiring muse, e.g. "Aubergine"
Genre, e.g. "erotica"
We are still in the process of cleaning up the tags, so please bear with us. Yes, some muses are classified under more than one tag, some poems appear in more than one book, or not yet in any volume, and some years are...hazy.
