deep breach

0 observations

No comment as to the new muse's identity.

deep breach

you are just out of reach, but not forever.
not forever, for ever does hope spring eternal
and infernal when I see your face and grace,
striking sparks against the splinted flint
that was once my heart, waking at dawn
to see you rise like Aphrodite from the sea,
calling me to touch you. first with my word,
praying to be heard and that your heart is stirred
to curiosity and a gentler reception than the candied dandies
who strut their shadows like pagan peacocks,
unaware of the elegance of the religion of love.
sacrifices that fold inward like praying hands
to expand the rippling universe that turns crippling
pain into understanding and gives sight to the blind.
find me in the caesura between hope and passion
while my soul falls into orbit about yours, a radiant star
marked only with the scars of life to make it perfect.
a whim and a will and a soft, comforting madness,
a deeper breach forms in my soul, and I find you there.
already waiting for me, your arms spread like the horizon.

    Explaining the Tags

You will note, gentle reader, that all works under this blog now display "tags" to help classify and assign the works for your review and enjoyment.

These largely fall into 4 categories:

    Year of writing, e.g. "1999"
Book published in, e.g. "from an unexpected quarter"
    Inspiring muse, e.g. "Aubergine"
    Genre, e.g. "erotica"

We are still in the process of cleaning up the tags, so please bear with us. Yes, some muses are classified under more than one tag, some poems appear in more than one book, or not yet in any volume, and some years are...hazy.
