good night

0 observations

Once in a while you encounter someone whose works practically shout at you. Such it is with Ukrainian artist, photographer and model Mariya, whose portfolio probably deserves a book all of its own (oh, no, not going there again...).

This was one of the first to strike me, not the least because of the title and the energy of this nude study. I normally don't drop pictures of the naked human form on here, out of respect for the younger readers, but this is tasteful and sensational.

So I give you Mariya's...

good night

The shades are drawn to the dark
as if to keep the curious moon from us.
The touch and such we share and dare
as we tumble towards sleep, a tangle
of angles and curves, blood and nerves
brought to the fire, to pass into the dark
on a high note, spent and content.
And ready to wake in one another's arms.
In the morning.

    Explaining the Tags

You will note, gentle reader, that all works under this blog now display "tags" to help classify and assign the works for your review and enjoyment.

These largely fall into 4 categories:

    Year of writing, e.g. "1999"
Book published in, e.g. "from an unexpected quarter"
    Inspiring muse, e.g. "Aubergine"
    Genre, e.g. "erotica"

We are still in the process of cleaning up the tags, so please bear with us. Yes, some muses are classified under more than one tag, some poems appear in more than one book, or not yet in any volume, and some years are...hazy.
