glide across the nebulae.
swim, with grace, on a methane sea.
you can become all you would dare to be
if you join in the dance of the decades.
the eyes of the poet, in sorrow, once shone...
but they have grown hollow, and all alone
he ponders on planets that crumble and groan
when he joins in the dance of the decades.
the naked jesters sing their tune
to the priests who dwell in granite rune,
crying aloud, "Death comes too soon
if you join in the dance of the decades.".
the final soul has now been sold
for the tiniest sack of pyrite gold.
but my cocoon shall never grow cold.
I have joined in the dance of the decades.

Explaining the Tags
You will note, gentle reader, that all works under this blog now display "tags" to help classify and assign the works for your review and enjoyment.
These largely fall into 4 categories:
Year of writing, e.g. "1999"
Book published in, e.g. "from an unexpected quarter"
Inspiring muse, e.g. "Aubergine"
Genre, e.g. "erotica"
We are still in the process of cleaning up the tags, so please bear with us. Yes, some muses are classified under more than one tag, some poems appear in more than one book, or not yet in any volume, and some years are...hazy.
